RSRC is looking for a new coach. ❤️💚
We’re searching for a Director of Rugby / 2XV & 3XV Head Coach to lead our program forward. With 2XV pushing for promotion this season, this role is about building structure, intensity, and results where it matters most.
Coaching experience at any level, availability 2 evenings/week, and a passion for developing student players.
That’s what we’re looking for.

In Memory of Cees de Mol van Otterloo
Last week we received the sad news that Old Bear and former teammate of many, Cees de Mol van Otterloo, has suddenly passed away.
His good friend and former teammate describes his bond with RSRC as follows:
“Cees was match secretary on the board in 73/74, and was one of the driving forces behind the club’s meteoric rise from the D-division to the A-division/Ereklasse in 76/77: his refined kicking technique earned us many crucial points. Cees always remained a very loyal and cheerful supporter of RSRC.”
For decades, Cees was a familiar and always welcome face on the sidelines and at dies, right up to recent years, around the promotion to the Ereklasse 23/24.
On behalf of all RSRC members and Old Bears, we wish all his friends and family strength during this time.

REFEREE OF THE YEAR! Following the Ereklasse Final last Saturday, Katherine Ritchie was crowned Senior Referee of the Year for the 2025/2026 season. What an achievement. Congrats Katherine! Katherine represents Rotterdamsche Studenten Rugby Club and we couldn’t be more proud!

Last weekend 35 of our Young Old Bears made their way to Cardiff. A match was played, beers were had, and a great time was shared.
Moments like these are a reminder that the bond you build at RSRC doesn’t end when your student years do. It stays with you for life. ❤️💚

Every year we celebrate Dies. The birthday of RSRC, a legacy that’s been running strong since 1968. With the DIOK match cancelled, 1XV kept the momentum going with an internal clash, followed by the legendary Generations Game. There’s nothing quite like watching the Old Bears show the Young Dogs a thing or two!
To top off a perfect day of rugby and beers, we officially announced the 61st Board. Cheers to many more! ❤️💚
